What is Simple PostgreSQL?

Simple PostgreSQL is a desktop app for managing PostgreSQL databases. It includes connection management, schema browsing, SQL query workflows, and focused CSV import/export tools.

Which platforms are supported?

The public download is currently for macOS 12 or later, with Apple Silicon and Intel builds available.

Where are my database credentials stored?

Database credentials stay on your machine. Simple PostgreSQL does not upload your database credentials or database contents to our servers. Connection profiles are stored in the app's local data directory.

Why do I need to sign in?

Email sign-in manages your trial, license, and billing access. Database connections are still made directly from your Mac to the PostgreSQL servers you configure.

Trial and Pricing

How long is the free trial?

New users get a 7-day free trial with full access to the app before buying. No credit card is required to start.

What does it cost?

Simple PostgreSQL is a one-time $59 purchase — no subscription. Your license never expires and includes all updates within the current major version.

Is there a subscription to cancel?

No. It is a single one-time payment, so there is nothing to renew or cancel.

Licensing

Can I use my license on another computer?

Yes. Your license is not tied to a machine — paste the key you were emailed on any Mac. If you reinstall or switch computers, just enter the same key again. Lost your key? You can request a resend from the app.

Do I need to be online?

Only to buy the license and to download updates. Once you have entered your key, the app activates and runs fully offline. Database connections are made directly from your machine to your configured PostgreSQL servers.

What happens if Simple PostgreSQL is ever discontinued?

Your activated copy keeps working. The app validates your license offline, so it does not depend on our servers to keep running. If we ever stopped selling or supporting it, existing installations would continue to function as-is; only the online parts — buying new licenses, the free trial, license resend, and updates — would become unavailable. We can't remotely disable a license you've already activated.
